​Quick facts:

• All trees require a tree removal permit if they are located in the following areas:
       - Required Zoning Buffer; ​
        - Conservation Area;​Open Space;
       - ​Chattahoochee River Corridor;
        - Designated Tree Save Area
• All Specimen Trees require a permit for removal (regardless of zoning). A Certified Arborist Assessment may be necessary to remove a Specimen Tree.
• Commercial properties with approved tree removals must maintain a minimum of 16 units per acre (20 units in Overlay Districts) and meet the following requirements:
        - One tree per 7 parking spaces.
         - Every parking space within 60 ft of a tree.
        - Every parking space within 60 ft of a tree.

Specimen Tree Definition:
Large hardwoods = 28” DBH or larger
‍​Large softwood = 30” DBH or larger ​
‍Small native flowering = 12” DBH or larger

\Dead, Dying, Hazardous (DDH) Definition​
‍A tree posing immediate hazard or danger to a person or property due to imminent failure in part or whole. ​​
