Quick facts:

All individual trees over 4” DBH require a Tree Removal Permit.
The removal of specimen trees requires a recompense of 1.5 x DBH (in addition to minimum tree density requirements).

Up to two (2) live trees (non-specimen) per 18 months per property can be removed, but the minimum tree density of 130 DBH inches per acre and/or a canopy cover of at least 45% must be maintained.
Trees assessed as poor or DDH (dead, dying, hazardous) do not count against the live tree removal limits, but DO count towards minimum tree requirements and DO require a permit.
Public notice signage is mandatory for 5 days before the approved removal of tree. Each tree for removal must be marked or flagged during the public notice period.

‍A tree posing immediate hazard or danger to a person or property due to imminent failure in part or whole.
